* Make your own bubbles: 1/3 cup liquid dish soap and 2/3 cup water.

* Let the children pretend they are bubbles. Have them float around the room. Once they touch each other or a hard surface—they pop & float to the floor.

* While bubbles are in the air try clapping them with your hands, popping them with your pointed finger, use your head, your elbows, or your knees. When the bubbles fall to the floor intact, stomp them with your feet, sit on them.

Blowing bubbles, blowing bubbles

Is such fun, is such fun.

Blow them in the air,

Blow them everywhere,

Blowing bubbles, blowing bubbles

            --Betty Silkunas

Blow, blow, blow, blow,

I blow & then I stop.

For if I keep on blowing,

My bubble will surely POP!

Hello bubbles, hello bubbles,

Come & land, come & land,

Right in the middle, right in the middle,

Of my hand, of my hand.

Goodbye bubbles, goodbye bubbles,

Time to go, time to go,

I will help you, I will help you,

With a blow, with a blow.

Dip your pipe & gently blow

Watch the tiny bubble grow.

Big and bigger, round and fat,

Rainbow-colored, and then, SPLAT!

Blowing bubbles in the air

Bubbles! Bubbles! Everywhere!

POP! POP! POP!

I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles

Pretty bubbles in the air,

They fly so high, nearly reach the sky.

Then like my dreams they fade and die.

Fortune’s always hiding,

I’ve looked everywhere.

I’m forever blowing bubbles

Pretty bubbles in the air.

            --Jaan Kenbrovin

Bubbles floating all around,                     (Pretend to run & catch bubbles)

Bubbles fat and bubbles round,              (Use arms to indicate big, fat bubbles)

Bubbles on my toes and nose.               (Point to toes and nose)

Blow a bubble…up it goes!                     (Pretend to blow and point upwards)

Bubbles floating all around                       (Pretend to catch bubbles)

Bubbles sinking to the ground.                (Say slowly & let your body drop)

All around the story room                          (library)

The children chased the bubbles.            (Pretend to catch bubbles)

The children laughed and had such fun.

Pop! go the bubbles                               (Clap on Pop!)
