Libraries are more than books. Some kids need a little direction to get the creative juices flowing.  After reading Adrienne’s blog the other day, (4-2-2010), I thought of another offering for our patrons. Be a doodle interpreter. Just as dreams can be interpreted many ways, so can doodles. There are quite a few sites on the internet to help you interpret the lines, spirals, shapes, colors and placement of the doodles. Have fun with it.

Using Doodles4Google as a springboard, have the kids design around your library’s name. Challenge them to show creativity and innovation. Show them some of the doodles that Google has used over the years, http://www.google.com/logos/. Talk about why something might work, and why something may not.
