Libraries are more than books. Some kids need a little direction to get the creative juices flowing. I gleaned the following from Storytime Underground, 9-2020. In the time of Co-Vid, we do our best for our patrons. But this can be for much happier times too.

Ours is more of a “drive in”’style. 7-8 cars max, people stay inside them. Most, back-in and pop the hatchback, or sit in the truck bed. Librarians are on the sidewalk with a sound system. Free books are handed out (all the same, leftover unclaimed from Summer Reading), to read aloud together. Folks bring their own snacks. I think we’ve had 2 so far, and people love it! (Amy Rutten)

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Only one registration per vehicle! 

Storytime will not be inside the library! Email address is required to register. 

The parking lot location for storytime will be emailed to registrants the day before the event.
