Two little cubs went out to play,

Over the hill and far away.

They tumbled and rolled in the grass so sweet,

They sniffed around for some honey to eat.

They went back home and curled up in a heep

Then, closed their eyes and went to sleep.

Algy met a bear,

A bear met Algy.

The bear was bulgy.

The bulge was Algy.

I have a little teddy bear

Who goes to bed with me.

Although he cannot say a word,

I like his company.

               --Betty Olgin

A teddy bear is a faithful friend,

You can pick him up at either end.

His fur is the color of breakfast toast.

And he’s always there when you need him most.

The honey drip-dripped,

From a honeybee tree.

Along came a bear,

As hungry as could be.

He sniffed that honey,

And it smelled so sweet,

He thought he’d found

A treat to eat.

But the bees buzz-buzzed,

“Bear, go away!

“Don’t you steal our honey today!”

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear

Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.

So Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t fuzzy,

Was he?

Bears, bears, bears

Everywhere.

Bears on stairs.

Sitting on chairs.

Collecting fares.

Giving stares.

Washing hairs.

Bears, bears, bears

Everywhere.

Here is the cave,

Here is the bear.

Now he comes out,

To get fresh air.

Old brown bear,

Sleeping in his den.

Little chipmunk tickles him,

And runs home again.

Where is bear? Where is bear?
Here I am. Here I am.
How are you this winter?
Very tired, thank you.
Go to sleep. Go to sleep.
(Have kids shout “WAKE UP BEAR” to do the song again.)

Lots of bears are hibernating,

Hibernating, hibernating.

Lots of bears are hibernating,

Sleeping in their dens.
