(*** I wanted that song for a storytime I did a couple of seasons ago, but I wondered the same thing.  So, since our department is on a separate level than Adult Services and people are always remarking about how it's so quiet upstairs and so--well--normal downstairs, I rewrote the song so it wasn't as rebellious in nature, thus:

 They don't allow no hand-clapping upstairs (clap, clap) They don't allow no hand-clapping upstairs (clap, clap) That's OK, that's just fine, We can clap our hands in Storytime, They don't allow no hand-clapping upstairs (clap, clap)
