Cats have secret pockets in their padded paws,

Where, when they don’t need them, they can keep their claws.

Dogs can wag their tails like mad,

But cats can tell you when they’re glad! Purr-rr!

5 Little kittens standing in a row,

They nod their heads to the children so,

They run to the left, they run to the right,

They stand up and stretch, in the bright sunlight.

Along comes a dog--

Who’s in for some fun…

See those five kittens run!

A cat had a birthday and all the cats came

To eat cat cake, and play a cat game,

To open cat presents, and when they were through,

They sang, “Happy Birthday,” the way that cats do.

Meow, meow, meow—everybody sing it now,

Meow, meow, meow—there’s really nothing to it now.

Meow, meow, meow—well, imagine that…

You just said “Happy Birthday” in cat!

Two little kittens found a ball of yarn

As they were playing in the barn.

One little kitten jumped in the hay,

The other little kitten ran away.

                --TODDLE ON OVER

A kitten is hiding under a chair.

I looked and looked for her everywhere.

Under the table and under the bed;

I looked in the corner, and when I said,

“Come, Kitty, come, Kitty, here’s milk for you.”

Kitty came running and calling, “Mew, mew.”

                --LET’S DO FINGERPLAYS

I know a little pussy, her coat is silver gray,

She lives down in the meadow, not very far away.

She’ll always be a pussy, she’ll never be a cat,

For she’s a pussy willow, now, what do you think of that?

Meow, meow, meow, meow, skat, cat!

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.
Happy kitty, pretty kitty, purr, purr, purr.
