Thanksgiving

Two fat sausages,

Sizzling in a pan.

One went POP!

The other went BAM!

5 fat hot dogs sizzling in a pan,

The grease got hot and one went BAM!

(Repeat: 4-3-2-1

No little hot dogs sizzling in a pan,

What will we do for lunch?)

I had a little hot dog, I popped it in a bun.                     (add motions)
I added some relish --- Hot dogs are fun!
I spread on some ketchup, and mustard, like I should.
Then I popped it in my mouth, “Mmm, mmm good!”

          --King County Library System

5 Little peas in a pea-pod pressed.

1 grew, 2 grew,

So did all the rest.

They grew, and grew,

They grew and never stopped.

They grew so fat,

That the peapod POPPED!

Animal crackers, and cocoa to drink,

That is the finest of suppers, I think;

When I'm grown up and can have what I please

I think I shall always insist upon these.

What do you choose when you're offered a treat?

When Mother says, "What would you like best to eat?"

Is it waffles and syrup, or cinnamon toast?

It's cocoa and animals that I love the most!

L-O double L-I-P-O-P

Spells lollipop...lollipop.

That's the only decent kind of candy,

Man who made it must have been a dandy.

L-O double L-I-P-O-P, you see.

It's a lick, on a stick,

And it's bound to make you sick,

Lollipop for me.

"Clink clank!" say the pots and pans.

"Clatter!" says the plate.

"Sizzle!" says the bacon.

Mom shouts, "Don't be late!"

Clump bump, I'm down the staircase.

"Munch crunch!" says my toast.

Mumble jumble breakfast

Is the meal that talks the most.
