New and expectant moms program at Hilton Doubletree on Sept 21. MCLS will have a table and do presentation. We’ll promote lapsit storytimes for the county. Thanks to Elissa, Matt, and Anne for helpingTonia with this.

Summer reading numbers are up, but not all are turned it (please give stats to Tonia as soon as possible)

Judy Carpenter, Penfield -- Summer Reading: each week readers met their goal, they could earn a water droplet to put their name on it. Display: Construction paper well with water droplets coming out. The idea was to fill the well up to help build an actual well in the Sudan. Lots of participation! At the Wrap up party- a resident of Penfield who was going to sponsor a well to be built in Sudan came and talked to patrons about the project they were involved with.

A Bookstore in Spencerport collects used books to send to Africa. It might be an idea to use for after book sales with leftover books.

*****Other ideas for next year, Wizard of Oz. Complete your reading for the week and put your name on a yellow brick to make the road!!!
