Pepper the Cat

Page history last edited by Jane McManus 6 years, 6 months ago

Dramatic play is a fun alternative to regular singing and dancing. This is courtesy of C.S. Peterson, but I'm sorry no source.

Pepper was a small black kitten.

Each day when he awakened he would arch his back and stretch,      (stretch as though waking up)

Then he would stretch his legs: First the front, left leg,                        (stretch the front left leg)

Then, the front, right leg,                                                                      (stretch the front right leg)

Next the back, left leg,                                                                          (stretch the back left leg)

Then the back right leg.                                                                        (stretch the back right leg)

Then Pepper would lap up some milk for breakfast.                            (pretend to lap up milk)

Pepper liked to play. Sometimes he would play "Chase my Tail."        (run in a circle)

Sometimes he would play "Bat-the-Ball."                                             (pretend to bat a ball)

And sometimes he would play "See how high I can jump."                 (jump up and down several times)

When Pepper grew tired, he would carefully give himself a bath.       (pretend to lick paws and wash)

Then he would curl up in a furry, purry heap and go to sleep.            (curl up and "sleep")
